Licence Generator
- New language Swedish
- Individual parameters for the concurrent user testing can be defined in the XML project files

Activation Keys
- A key can not only add or subtract a licence - the licence can be set to an absolute value - e.g. number of users =2 instead of +-2
- A key can not only add or subtract a number of days for time limitation - the number of days can be set to an absolute value - e.g. number of days = 10 instead of +-10
- A key can contain the information that it needs to be validated online (requires module Web Activation)
- A key can change the Web Activation status of a module
- All keys have a new format which ensures that keys are unique without using the licence file ID or installation code. The format is
xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx and letters are case sensitive. The new version can read old licence keys - When sending keys via mail or fax the key can contain additional information to clarify letters which could be misinterpreted (like I and 1 or O and 0)

LicProtector.DLL
- A user or item can be deleted via DLL method (RemoveDeactivated)
- New DLL method to validate a Yes/No module (this saves 1 DLL call-ValidatesYes)
- New DLL method to turn error logging on and off (SetLogging)
- Module type 1 (Licene per user) and 2 (licence per PC) can optionally have a property, that the user can be deactivated (like an item - module type 5)
- The DLL of a major release (starting with version 2.3) has an own DLL version stamp. DLL's of old and new releases can be mixed on the same computer. This allows to install an application with an old DLL and another application with a new DLL of Licence Protector on the same machine
- New hash alogrithm for installation codes (downward compatibility is ensured)
- New status code for Cancel when ApplyActivationKey is used
- Necessary commands to verify and activate a module via the Web Activation server (requires module Web Activation)
- New option prepare force - allows to open a licence file with copy protection on any computer for diagnostic issues
- Using the module type 2 (limit per PC) and type 6 (limit per concurrent user) on a Citrix / Terminal server - the hostname of the PC, connected to the Terminal server is used and not the hostname of the server where the application is running

Automatic Licence Generator
- Switch to produce a keylist - e.g. to create 1000 keys to activate a module. This keylist can be used if the product is sold via bookstores or if an online store just support keylists instead on an generator
- Switch to define an alternative path and name of the licence file
- A key can be created in XML format instead of text format
- An expiry date can be calculated - eg. +30 days in the definition file calculates as the expiry date today + 30 days
- A key with an absolute value for number of days can be created
- A key with an absoulte value for number of licences can be created
- A key can contain the information that it has to be validated online (requires module Web Activation)
- The language for explanations within a key file can be defined, e.g. for key with French explanation text
