Changes within the application

CTI Data Connector application 

  • a missed call is signalled with a red icon - left mouse click on the icon opens missed calls list
  • right mouse click - directly select call history with missed calls
  • right mouse click - quick dialling - directly open screen for quick (speed) dialling
  • right mouse click - help - invokes online or offline help
  • left mouse click on phone icon - transfer call during an active call
  • button transfer call in CTI Data Connector main application to transfer a call - including support of blind transfer
  • the window to type in a phone note and activity is only available if this functionality is supported. Otherwise the CTI Data Connector logo is displayed
  • new icon for Desktop Notification (formerly fade in window)
  • if a call is redirected then the Desktop Notification is refreshed with the new number
  • the Desktop Notification is now displayed without having the Focus

Configuration Wizard

  • TAPI Configuration
    • Profider Postfix - add a character at the postfix at the end of a phone number for outgoing calls
    • Prefix for internal numbers
    • Truncate incoming phone number at a character - allows to handle phone numbers in the format 0734273830@myprovider.com.
    • Special treatment of 'fake numbers' which are send from the PBX in front of a number with outgoing calls
    • Send logfile directly using the default E-mail system

 

  • Development API
    • Option to always write XML file to exchange caller data with an application (Always write xml file)
    • Option to define character set for XML file to support data exchange in languages with non UTF-8 character like Greec (XML character set)
    • Option to define, if a change of the phone number during a call, should be signaled or not in the calls.xml file (signal change in phone number)
    • Wait to to transfer a call can be configured (Timout during initializing a call transfer)
  • Hotkey - configurable time to wait for clipboard content in case other applications (e.g. Office clipboard) bloack the clipboard

Outlook

  • Caller identification and phone book works with Outlook 2007

TAPI driver workarounds

  • If a number is first not delivered but a few events later, then this is situation is handled like a new call. The workaround will help in some situations when the number is dialled on the phone set
  • Cisco TAPI driver creates an additional event at the end of the call. This event is now ignored.

Caller identification

  • Option to use the number which was called (Called ID) for caller identification 
  • Option to use the name stored in a PBX directory or local phone for caller identification if supported by the TAPI driver (Display CallerID identified by PBX)
  • Correct a phone number which has the long distance call number after the country code - 0049070054885342 is corrected to 004970054885342

Administration

  • The administrator can configure a PC, extract these configuration options and distribute the configuration for all PCs - Distribute Client Setup

Salesforce Edition

  • Caller identification via MS-SQL server is supported to offer fast caller ID with more then 40.000-50.000 phone numbers

Product Activation

  • Complete new easy to go interface for product activation. Instead of using a file an Activation Key can be used
  • Version can be installed multiple times on the same machine

Bugfix

  • Outlook: Subfolders are used for caller identification only when selected

Installation

  • The network installation now allows to finish without specifying a dial to digit for external calls

 

CTI Data Connector - Integration Development Kit

  • Option to always write cdccalls.xml file independent with status if Fade-In windows was clicked (Always write XML file) - <FadeInWasClicked>
  • Option to define character set for XML file to support data exchange in languages with non UTF-8 character like Greec (XML character set)
  • Option to define, if the phone number changes during a call, this should be signaled or not in the calls.xml file (signal change in phone number) - <IsNumberChangedEvent>
  • Field <CallerIDInternational> in cdccalls.xml file to additional deliver the phone number in the international format
  • The CTI tables cdccti and cdchelp can be renamed - use <CDCCTITable> and <CDCCTIHELPTable> in cdc.xml definition file
  • The option SaveCallOnlyOnce and SaveJobOnlyOnce can now be configured on the user level in the configuration wizard. The definition is done now in <Setup> instead of <Main> within cdc.xml
  • Terminal Server support if a phone set is directly connected to the PC and the application runs on the Terminal server. Requires special SDK.

ActiveX SDK

  • New Function SetCustomField to pass a custom field for each call. This field is then passed in the cdccalls.xml and cdcjobs.xml
  • New Function BlindTransfer to redirect a call without notifying the desired party
