The Activation Server is an out of the box solution to activate a product and to change license information online. With just 1 DLL call, Licence Protector connects to the Activation Server and performs the following operations:
- Activate copy protection
- Change a license, e.g. from demo mode to full version mode
- Cancel time limitation
The Activation Server ensures that each license can be registered only once. Every transaction is logged to a database (database license not included). Optionally, keys can be transmitted to the Activation Server. It is checked, whether the key was already used or not. This is to ensure that the key can not be passed on and used multiple times.The Activation Server also supports:
- Automated E-Mail activation with the E-Mail Activator Service
- Product reinstallation / reactivation on the same machine
- Transfer a license from PC A to PC B
The server comes with a Browser based administration interface, which covers reports, view details like IP and hardware Ids of an activation as well as the option to create keys.
